Liebster Award

I have to admit that I am at a loss for what to write about as my posts were all set our for the month of April, all I had to do was research them and put it to paper... er, make that screen..er.. guess I shouldn't have used that saying it only gets worse.

Right off the bat I have to  thank Jo, over at Jo on Food, My Travels and a Scent of Chocolate for nominating me for the Liebster Award this year. I have so enjoyed her posts and especially the Challenge posts where we learned geography and delicious recipes! She has faithfully replied to my posts and her encouragement helped to sustain me when I felt like calling it a day... especially half way through the challenge. Thank you Jo!!

In keeping with the protocol, more or less, there are a few "requests" that are made of the receiver  Although these are not mandatory, in the spirit of paying it forward, I will try to complete some. Complete info can be found on Google if you wish.

1. Thank the blogger(s) who gave you the award with a link back to their site(s) – ( done)

2. Place the Liebster Award icon on your site.  Use this one or find another online. I have seen a whole raft of different icons during my ‘travels’ this last month.

3. Nominate 3, 5, 7, or 11 other bloggers with less than 200 or 3,000 readers.
What was different on my nomination was, according to my nominator:
  • Post  7 random facts about you, by way of introduction to new readers
  • Answer 7 questions that the presenter of your award has asked
  • Nominate 7 new bloggers with fewer than 200 followers (or 3-5 blogs having fewer than 3000 followers, if you prefer to keep with the original tradition) that you want to pass the award on to
  • Ask your nominees 7 questions
  • Be happy! You are not obligated to do any of this – just strongly encouraged. Someone would like new readers to get to know you and your blog.

I can't think of any interesting random facts about me. The Q and A following pretty much says it all.

I am going to copy the questions that were asked of me and you can copy this if you wish, just delete my answers and put yours in. As it states... be happy and have fun.

1.If you could be any animal which would it be and why?   The thought of being grounded all the time scares me, so I think I would like to be an eagle ( that's in the animal category, isn't it?)

2.What kind of tree would you be?  Pine tree, they seem so light and airy  and look great all year.

3.Are you a city person or a country person? Hm. I live in a small city but love the countryside. I guess I would say "country" as opposed to big cities.

4.If you could meet one historical figure, living or dead, who would it be?  Dali Lama... don't know why, just that he seems peaceful.and it is what came to mind at this time.

5.Who or what inspired you to start a blog? Oh, that's easy. My sisters Kathy at Oak Lawn Images and Monica at Older Mommy Still Yummy

6.When it comes to appointments are you 10 minutes early or 10 minutes late? Always early... I know that probably means I have no life.. but I think it is inconsiderate to be late
.
7.What is the most challenging thing you have ever accomplished?  Going back to school at 36 to become a nurse. But I loved it and would do it all over again!

My nominees are:

Lisa  from  Puppy Journey
Nan from Exclamation Point(!)
Alternative Foodie from  Nutty Bean
Nina Gray
Rob from Your Daily Dose

OK ... in the wise and immortal words of  Elmer Fudd...... "That's All Folks!"
