Simple Luxuries Lotion Bar

With Spring in firmly entrenched in our northern climate, I find I am joyfully spending more and more time outside. From digging out lawn furniture to digging in the garden, my  poor hands take a real beating. I have been a Registered Nurse for many years.. ( notice I am purposely leaving out the number!) and have developed the habit of constantly washing and/or sanitizing my hands.

With all this washing and drying and using alcohol based sanitizers,  the effects on my skin is obvious. Now I don't know about you, but I don't carry a bulky bottle of liquid lotion in my pocket. BUT.... I have recently tried a marvelous new product from Simple Luxuries that changes how I use hand protection!!

These  delightful lotion bars are made from 4 simple ingredients- Grapeseed Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter and Vitamin E! How's that for NATURAL!!   They come in  compact roll up tubes so there is never a concern of  dripping on your favorite shirt or dress or spilling in your pocket or purse.

As an added bonus you can choose one of several natural scents, but I have to admit that my two favs  are Lavender Patchouli and Forbidden Fruit. If scents aren't your thing, then there is a Pure (unscented) Lotion Bar.

I have found that one or two "swipes" on the palm of my hand is all it takes. I then rub my hands together for smooth moisturized skin.

Check out the other inviting scents and big array of products designed to pamper and please you from Simple Luxuries.

  1. These products sound great. My daughter struggles with dry skin. I think I might give these a try.

  2. I have a problem with dry skin on my hands, water here is very hard, but I manage with Avon creams (I sell them after all) although my very favourite has been withdrawn. The ones you describe sound delightful though.

    1. I like the idea that it is an effective moisturizer without the mess of a cream. Thanks for your comment, Sarah!

  5. I bought a similar bar of soap at our local food co-op recently. It seemed expensive at the time, but it has lasted forever and feels so good on my hands after gardening.

  6. My hands had really suffered recently and I was just about desperate enough to visit a doctor, 'cause absolutely nothing I tried had worked in over a week. My hands were so dry they'd crack and bled, and that was far from normal for my skin. My hubs had a hemp based moisturizer that did the trick beautifully, but the sent wasn't something I ever got used to. I've got to check Simple Luxuries out as I'd love to find something that works that doesn't have too funky of a smell, lol.
