What is Happy
If there were photographs of what I saw, words like "depressing", "muddy", "grungy" would be attributable. In order to save you that experience I am instead pulling a few shots of another year that would better illustrate the emotion that I felt and perhaps you might feel the same.
These are shots of a few of the times and places that elicit the feeling of "happy" for me. What is it that makes you happy?
Tulips and spring are synonymous and the gorgeous color can't help but make one feel good.

Hiking on the ruggedly beautiful Fundy Coast is not only breath taking, it is also the antithesis of the day to day life in a fast paced work environment that most of us encounter. " Happy" would qualify here, don't you agree?

This glorious spring sunset was a back drop for the lone person in a canoe soaking up the quiet and solitude of a day's end.

I am very fortunate to live in a city with two expansive parks. I try to spend as much time as I can at both of them. This view is just one of many that is accessed either by foot paths through the woods or by a road. Of the many times I have walked it never once did I leave it and not feel "happy"!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Extreme camping with my sisters always elicits an abundance of "happy".
All these captures are beautiful and nice to see nature's beauty is everywhere.
DeleteGorgeous photos. I love tulips but can't seem to find them at the moment here in Perth.
ReplyDeleteThey are generally around here in Spring but are imported from Holland as they would never survive in this climate in March. Thanks for stopping in.
DeletePretty flowers! I can't wait for my town's local tulip festival in mid-April.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristin. Our tulips are imported from Holland this time of year. We need the boost!
DeleteGlad I stopped by to have a read. A great way to start the day, thinking of happy moments! I agree with all of yours. Australian native flowers are my happy flowers. To it I add cooking, my husband's smile, the ocean, and mountains :)
ReplyDeleteHow nice to hear from you, Neda. I also like cooking, definitely the ocean but only have rolling mountains in this area. Would love to see "real" mountains some time.
DeleteWhat breathtaking views of the ocean. I love tulips they always remind me of Spring in Washington state. Wishing you a fabulous week and a very Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
Lysa xx
ReplyDeleteThat is very kind of you, bettyl-NZ. I don't know what I'd so if I could not access water or forests...your term is exactly what I should have used. "Invigorating" Tks. Happy Easter.
