I recently celebrated a birthday and a dear friend, who was out of the country at that time, dropped in to say hello.
Along with pictures of her amazing trip to Africa, she brought me a lovely bouquet of tulips.
I dutifully cut the stems before placing them in water, but eventually they were in full bloom. This is a close up of the inside of one of them.
Along with the pistil and stamen being clearly visible, I loved the sun ray effect and the beautiful colors. |
That picture is awesome!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love your name :)
Thanks, Judy! I'm guessing it's the "Bacon" part of my name. My maiden name was "Kelly". That is a name, not something that you eat for breakfast!!LOL
DeleteGorgeous, reminds me of a kaleidoscope!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about that, but you are absolutely right. The center of the tulip looks very much like a kaleidoscope. Thanks for the comment.
DeleteIt does look like a kaleidoscope. How perfect is Nature.Great shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. At first I thought of the sun's rays, but now I see the kaleidoscope more clearly.
DeleteHappy belated birthday! What a gorgeous picture, and I have to agree... it DOES look like a kaleidoscope.
