Cheering for Cheer
When we were raising a young family we inevitably became part of the child oriented, parent/caregiver driven, sports activities. Although other adult members of my family were sports oriented, that particular gene never made it to my system.
Hence, it never fails to amaze me when I see the camaraderie that is evident in team sports.
This past week-end has been memorable for a number of reasons, and this fellowship is just one of them.
Two of my granddaughters were involved in an Atlantic Canada wide "Cheer" Competition. For the uninitiated, this is a group of girls and boys whose athletic skills of jumps, rolls and choreography are challenged and displayed for a large and very appreciative audience.

Both sweet gals worked long and hard and their excellent performances reflected this. They were not in first place in their respective categories , but they did their best and still have a goal to strive for. That in itself is winning , from my perspective.
One other photo of a memorable week-end shows how, yet again, we were blasted with the fury of Mother Nature on PMS!!!
Have a wonderful week!
