Wordless Wednesday w Linky

February 26,2014

Wow, can you believe that  we are already two months into 2014! It has been a terrible winter, weather-wise in Atlantic Canada, so Spring and Summer can't come soon enough to suit most of us.

Meanwhile we have been living our daily lives and  Taking Care of Business ( salute to BTO) . One of the more upbeat and fun things that I have done lately is to attend a Cheer leading Competition.

This particular one included my  lovely young granddaughter and a whole array of other energy infused pre-teen and teens. These young boys and girls exhibited more patience, team work and down right dedication  than I have seen in a very long time.

Now, I am sure that the teachers, parents and various and sundry choreography specialists had a wee bit to do with it as well, but I only witnessed the end result!

With the  walls of Harbour Station virtually vibrating with fast paced upbeat music, there were jumps, bounces, rolls, cartwheels, and human pyramids that left this observer breathless.....and I was SITTING in the bleachers!

What a great way to channel the abundant vitality and spirit that these kids possess, and in doing so teach them the importance of hard work, trust, and fellowship.

Apologies for the photography, but I was spending more time being a Nana than  a good photographer!
