March is the month, that in this part of Canada we start to see the signs of spring. Snow receding, robins singing and ice breaking up.
This little known area in nearby Midland, N.B., however, has other ideas about when spring should arrive....... and by the looks of it spring is  more that "just around the corner!!!

On a bright sunny Sunday, people were lined up to crawl and slide through these ice caves. ( I was definitely not one of them!)

    1. Good for you, Judy!! I am very claustrophobic so this one's not for me. My daughter on the other hand just loved it. Photos are from her!

    1. It was Jennifer who was the adventurer. She said it was VERY close in places and she had to crawl and crouch most of the time. They took a rope in with them to aid in returning safely!!

  3. I'd love to go up to the ice caves, before they melt away. Great pictures. This looks like a club that gathered to go.
    Great photos.

    1. Jen and Brian went up there and they said there was a line of 50+ people all the time waiting to go in. They said it was very dangerous walking. In her words " a hip/leg just waiting for a fracture"!! Thanks for the comment.

  4. I would NOT have ventured either. Looks like an accident waiting to happen as well. Fascinating though. Hubby went into an ice hotel in Switzerland many years ago, that would be interesting.

  6. Wow! What a sight! We don't have anything that resembles that in Oklahoma. I am with you--no cave crawling for me--at least not without some Valium in my system to calm the claustrophobia! :)

    1. Yeah, a kindred spirit!! I would probably take Valium and a glass of wine just to get to the location. LOL! Happy St. Paddy's Day!!
