Wordless Wednesday-- Daffodils

March 27,2013

Where do the days go?? Can't believe it is Wednesday already.  It is finally time to start enjoying the benefits of spring..... well some of the early ones, anyway!
Thanks to Create With Joy for the Linky

The ladies are out in the supermarkets and malls selling the Daffodils for Cancer that raises money for cancer research each year.  I normally don't buy fresh flowers when I am grocery shopping but who can resist these gorgeous  blooms that when purchased are still unopened. You just have to cut the wax dipped ends off and place in water. Next day..... voila , beautiful flowers!! Only thing better is when they come up in YOUR garden!!!

                                                        I call this a win-win situation!!

  1. i love daffodils--so vibrant! the fact that they're purchased for a good cause makes them even more beautiful. :)

  2. These are indeed so lovely and the fact that some of the money goes to help find a cure for cancer is even better. Can hardly wait until they are coming up on my own gardens...a while yet, this year anyway!!

  3. They're gorgeous and the funds raised go to a cause near and dear to our hearts and to the hearts of many!

    1. Only one problem, I have found, is that they don't last very long. Hopefully the funds raised will be more productive.
They were lovely when they were first put in water, though.
