We have had my hubby's sister visiting from the U.S.- a city very near Buffalo, N.Y. As she was born and raised in our home town, she loves to go for drives to places near by and notes with interest how " things have changed so much"... or in some cases .."not so much"
.
One of these excursions included a beautiful spot on a peninsula near here that includes, among other scenic views, a covered bridge and a lighthouse by the side of the road. Now, even I have to admit that this seemed like an unlikely spot for lighthouse but there it sits as it has for years. Perhaps it was a beacon of light and hope to those navigating the nearby waters in years gone by.
I drove through Buffalo once, I would have loved to tour more!!
