Like most families that live in reasonably close proximity to each other, we gather for any "special" dates...the usual holidays, Mother's Day,Father's Day etc, but birthdays are the best!

With Thanksgiving 2012 an event in the past, we now are moving full tilt with our preparations for the  next big event for this year, Christmas!  The stores are, or in some cases have been, stocked with decorations , gift ideas and the commercials that are inundating  us with what the simply "have" to buy to be happy, to be like  our neighbors, to be able to relate to our co- workers, and others that are encountered, even by chance.  This time of "peace on earth" can quite rapidly become a "stress on earth" that is so unnecessary. We all want to celebrate, but it is how we celebrate that is important.
